If you want to achieve your new year resolutions, then you should read this article.
Every year, the first thing we do is talk about what we want for the coming year. We love to make new year resolutions. We talk about what want to achieve and go out to do. We have all these great ideas in January. The start of a new year gives us a feeling of a clean slate and allows us to start from scratch.
But what happens to all these great ideas later on? Most of the time, the ideas are gone by mid-year. Come spring time, we become too sick or tired of the resolutions that were made a few months ago. By summer time, we may forget all the words that were said in the beginning of the year. This seems to happen every year. Don’t believe me? Ask people around you.
Luckily, for you, this does not have to happen again. You can goals for yourself and find the power to work towards them as if every month is January again.
It is important to make practical new year resolutions so that you can come up with a plan, work hard towards them and ultimately accomplish your goals.
Here are 7 tips I have come up with and learned from past experience.
Tip #1: Set Specific and Realistic Goals
You should make goals that will benefit you or improve your life and that the goals can be accomplished in one year. Think about the goals are significant to you and are crucial for you, especially for this year. The goals should be in your range and you should have a small number of goals so that you can keep track.
Tip #2: Create Clear and Concise Goals
You should make goals that are measurable, as opposed to unclear ones. It is easier to achieve goals if they can be measured in numbers.
Tip #3: Make Personal Goals
You should make goals that are for you only. Come up with ideas independently. Do not be influenced by the people around you.
Tip #4: Prepare and Produce Plans for the Goals
Come up with a plan for the goals that you have made. Make sure the game plan includes working items that you can check off and milestones to show your improvement.
Tip #5: Remind Yourself of the Goals
You should remind yourself of the goals every now and then. Write it on a piece of paper and post it on the wall. Or set an alarm on your PC calendar. The point is so that you can be reminded of the aim. A new year’s resolution is no good if you forget about it in a month.
Tip #6: Keep Track of Progress for the Goals
You should take notes as you work towards your target. This will inspire and help you get along with achieving your goal.
Often, we make New Year resolutions at the start of the year and not remember about them in a few months. This is apparent for the people who would like to lose weight or exercise more. In the first month or two of a new year, tons of people sign up for gyms and then they gradually stop going to the gym or quit altogether. The reason is that because people are often eager to work towards their goals in the opening of the year and give up because they feel that they are not going to make it. Therefore, it is key that we show ourselves that are moving well along with our goals and not give up.
Track progress on paper or PC on a regular basis.

Total: $10,000 – Goal Achieved!
By the end of the year, you will note down the status for each goal you set. Think about the goals and the time you have spent in achieving them. Note down your thoughts and lessons learned. So next year, you should know how to better set your goals and what to do.
Tip #7: Motivate and Reward Yourself
Create a system that will drive you to the finish line.
Interesting Story from A Friend
My friend, J.Z. came up with a fun way to remind us of our new year resolutions. She asked all of our friends to think about our new year’s resolution and note it on a piece of paper. After the task was done, every one of us put the piece of paper in an envelope which she provided. My friend then asked us to note down our own name and address on the envelope and close it. Next, she took back all the envelopes and pass out all the envelopes again in a random fashion (each person gets a different envelope).
Every individual would be in charge for one envelope (that is not his or hers) and have to keep it until next year. When it is almost year end, my friend would email everyone to mail out the envelope to the person whose name and address are on it. Nobody but the author of the paper would know the goals inside the envelope. The point is to remind the author of the goal that he or she has set for the year.
Now, I invite all of you to write down your goals. You will look back at all these goals next year and you will see whether or not you have achieved them. Good luck in achieving your new year resolutions and enjoy the rest of the year!

Going green does not have to be boring. We can help improve the environment by reducing waste, and we can do that in a creative way – reuse.
Reuse means to use the same item again, generally for a different purpose. As opposed to recycle, which means to break down the product and create a new item using the old materials, reuse extends the life of the product.
I do not like the idea of “wasting stuff,” so I am a big fan of reusing or maximizing the lifetime of an item/product. I like to find use in old or unwanted products. Reusing products can also save time and money. Below are some of my ideas:
